East Van Residence Wins 2024 KGDA Environment Design Award
We’re thrilled to announce that East Van Residence has won the Kyoto Global Design Award in the Environment Design category.
East Van Residence was designed for a small, young family wanting to stay in their long-loved community. The project replaced a modest 1950s bungalow with a more functional home. The layout inverts the conventional organization of a house, with the kitchen, living, and dining spaces placed on the upper floor to capture views of the nearby park, Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore mountains. The bedrooms remain at the entry level for privacy, while the lower level includes a den, guest suite, storage, and mechanical spaces.
