Forest House featured in Mindful Living: A Journey Through Quiet and Harmonious Interiors

We’re pleased to see our Forest House project included in a recent publication curated by Daniela Santos Quartino, titled Mindful Living: A Journey Through Quiet and Harmonious Interiors.

The book brings together 20 spaces from around the world that are “diverse in style yet united by a common intention: to harmonize built spaces with their environment and enrich the lives of those who inhabit them.”

Writing about Forest House, Quartino notes:

“Immersed in the dense woodland of Bowen Island, this home rises as a serene refuge atop a rocky outcrop, oriented towards the setting sun. Designed for a young family who left Vancouver in search of a slower pace of life, it is characterised by its seamless integration with the terrain through minimal intervention: its ends anchor to the granite while the structure appears to float between the rocks.”

Thank you to Daniela and the team at Loft Publications for including the project.
